Seeking a Materials Management professional with at least 2 years of hospital experience in a computerized environment, preferably with Meditech Material Management System knowledge. The role requires receiving, recording, warehousing, and distributing materials while maintaining accurate records. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, reliability, initiative, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience receiving, recording, warehousing and distributing incoming goods
- Minimum of 2 years hospital related materials management experience within a computerized environment
- Good computer knowledge of the Meditech Material Management System
- Courses from the Purchasing Management
Association of Canada (PMAC) are an asset.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and
written communication skills
- Attention to detail, maintains
accurate records
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing
professional development and continuing education
- Mathematical competence and filing
skills
- Consistently meets attendance
expectations, demonstrating reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts
- Ability to perform multiple
assignments in a professional efficient manner is essential
- Initiative and motivation along with
creative thinking skills is a must
- Ability to meet physical demands including:
- Standing
for extended periods, bending, crouching and kneeling
- Ability
to perform heavy lifting- not to exceed 50 lbs.
- Walking
distances throughout hospital Handling of materials – glass, heat
sensitive materials, chemicals (boiler)
- Finger
dexterity, hand/eye coordination for typing/key punching on the computer system
