Communications skills are vital to our fundamental development and the function of our everyday lives, yet millions of Canadians and their families live with the challenges of speech, language, and hearing disorders. Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs), audiologists, and supportive personnel such as communication disorders assistants, are trained professionals who work with people of all ages dealing with issues related to speech, language, hearing, swallowing, and other related disorders. Each clinician's goal is to help clients achieve an enhanced quality of life.
Our Speech Language Pathologist provides assessment and treatment of swallowing disorders for the adult inpatient population. Our SLP is available on an as-needed basis to serve patients admitted to our hospital.
